Overnight Oats

This is an easy recipe, which you can prepare ahead of time.
This way you will have a healthy and filling breakfast ready in the morning.

To make overnight oats I always use a 1/2 cup to measure all the ingredients. If you don't have a 1/2 measuring cup, I think you can just use half of a standard drinking cup or a full cup if you want to make two portions at once.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oats (I typically use rolled oats, but you can also use quick oats.)

1/2 cup milk of choice (I use almond milk, but you can use any type such as soy milk, regular milk or even chocolate milk.)

1/2 cup yogurt of choice (I love to use vanilla soy yogurt, but again you can experiment with all types of yogurt.)

You can mix these ingredients in a bowl or shake them in a jar with a lid. If you want to add sweetener it's best that you do it now, so everything is evenly divided.
Put the bowl in the fridge for one night or for a couple of hours.
In the morning when the oatmeal has firmed up I love to add some toppings.
My favorites are berries, peanut butter, almond butter, chia seeds, cacao nibs, etc.
You can also mix in chia seeds before putting the bowl in the fridge. The consistency will be more like pudding if you do that. I prefer to put the chia seeds on top, so the consistency doesn't change.

Let me know if you have tried my recipe.

Have a great day!
