Caprese Omelet


This recipe is for a delicious omelet
with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and basil.

  • 125 g mozzarella
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 large tomato
  • Basil leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. 
Crack and whisk the eggs
in a bowl and add some salt and pepper. 

Slice the tomatoes and the mozzarella. 
Heat up some olive oil
in an oven proof pan and add the eggs.

Put the tomato slices, mozzarella slices
and basil leaves on top of the eggs. 

Put in the oven for about 25 minutes
or until the eggs are not runny anymore. 

If you don't have an oven proof pan,
then you can just put a lid over the pan
and keep it on the stove.
